3 Volts Is Here — And We Already Hit the Stage

Some things don’t need a long buildup. 3 Volts played its first show before most bands even finish rehearsing their setlist.

The trio — Magro on guitar, Kexo on bass, and PH Teixeira on drums — made its debut last night at Monte Verdi Restaurant & Bar at the Royal Sonesta Boston, one of the city’s most elegant venues, right on the Charles River.

The night called for two different energies. During dinner, we kept it smooth and laid-back, letting the music sit in the background the way good live music should. Once the plates were cleared, the setlist shifted — Dua Lipa, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars — and the room came alive.

First show. First crowd. Mission accomplished.
